PLANETE PAIX is continuing the official presentation of the Young Champions’ Declaration of Abidjan for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development of November 2018. The members of the Organization’s delegation took the opportunity to express their gratitude to the Center for Research and Action for Peace (CERAP) which received them on February 20, 2019. It must be noted that CERAP was one of the technical partners of the Young Champions’ Summit. The Institution granted an internship to about ten participants of the Summit. Finally, the Peace Digital Elections Program was discussed for a collaboration between PLANETE PAIX and CERAP for transparent, participatory, inclusive, peaceful and democratic elections in Côte d’Ivoire on the horizon 2020.

PLANETE PAIX has submitted its document of proposals for the reform of the Independent Electoral Commission to the State Secretariat for Human Rights and the Ministry of the Interior and Security. For the Organization, the prerequisite for the success of the reform is the setting up of an ad hoc Electoral Reform Commission. This Commission will have to include all components of society for frank, objective, consensual, credible and democratic discussion for the future of our country. In addition, PLANETE PAIX believes that the reform must also affect the electoral control institutions if one wants to resolve once and for all the elections related crises in Côte d ‘Ivoire. The Organization wants the appointment of the members of the Election Control Institutions to also use democratic or consensual ways to inspire confidence and credibility. Wisdom recommends that one make an excellent decision when one has the possibility to avoid being a victim of his subjective decisions because the wheel turns and it turns actually.

On Saturday, February 16, 2019 the BOOK CLUB participants learned how passion and perseverance forge destinies through “L’ART DE LA NIAQUE”. They also learned to THINK EFFECTIVELY IN 5 STEPS. Indeed, the panelists taught them to look for simple solutions to a complex and difficult problem. And to stay on the ground facing a daunting challenge. They were invited to dig up their knowledge at Stage 1 (Earth). Then consider their failures as sources of lessons and take better advantage of these failures. They should not be afraid to fail because from their failures, they will find the tools they need to succeed (Fire). They must learn to be their own Socrates by raising questions (air) and creating new ideas from the old ones. They understood that solutions to small problems bring solutions to big problems (Water). They were asked to initiate the change as Stupidity can be defined as doing the same thing and hoping for a different result. In the face of a problem one has to exploit other alternatives, methods, ways instead of doing the same thing at best (quintessential element).
