PLANETE PAIX has submitted its document of proposals for the reform of the Independent Electoral Commission to the State Secretariat for Human Rights and the Ministry of the Interior and Security. For the Organization, the prerequisite for the success of the reform is the setting up of an ad hoc Electoral Reform Commission. This Commission will have to include all components of society for frank, objective, consensual, credible and democratic discussion for the future of our country. In addition, PLANETE PAIX believes that the reform must also affect the electoral control institutions if one wants to resolve once and for all the elections related crises in CΓ΄te d ‘Ivoire. The Organization wants the appointment of the members of the Election Control Institutions to also use democratic or consensual ways to inspire confidence and credibility.
