The problem of inclusive, peaceful, democratic and participatory elections is one of the thorny issues of the African continent. Our country, CĂŽte-d’Ivoire has experienced in recent years many and significant upheavals. The lack of education of citizens in electoral matters, the method of appointing personalities who embody electoral institutions, the exclusion of certain political actors from decision-making have not favored a consensual democratic process.
The main objective of âPEACE DIGITAL ELECTIONâ project is to promote inclusive, peaceful, free and transparent elections in CĂŽte d’Ivoire through digital tools (WhatsApp, Facebook).
The project targets in the short-term 2464 potential voters and will build the capacity of about ten million (10,000,000) potential voters on the need for their participation in the electoral and democratic process through the setting up of a digital and classic platform throughout the Ivorian territory promote by the year 2022. Thus, the members of the platform will be able to make their voices heard by registering massively on the list of electors and by voting. They can also fix classic or virtual debates, sensitization, posts and messages on social networks. During the electoral period the electoral project of all the candidates will be popularized by these digital instruments in order to allow the members of the platform to have a perfect knowledge of these projects and to enlighten their choice. The project also takes into account gender considerations and marginalized or vulnerable groups.
Africa and United States of America Champions for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development Summit is a three (03) day international development project. It aims to reduce corruption, provide prevention tools and technical solutions to combat climate migration and deforestation, to limit violent extremism and terrorism, and to encourage women’s initiatives for women’s empowerment worldwide. It should be noted that this project combines theory and practice. Indeed, the participants are deployed for 4 hours in 5 departments or Institutions in CĂŽte d’Ivoire after the various panels in order to touch the realities related to the issues addressed by the program. It is in line with the 2063 Agenda of the African Union. It is a project that welcomes 100 participants as diverse as mid-career experience in law, politics, government, private enterprise, civil society and international development from Africa and the United States of America. The program builds on a theoretical and hands-on framework that systematically integrates individuals, ideologies and institutions, with the objective of addressing weak state capacity, poor service delivery, marginalization and poverty, endemics, as well as climate migration while contributing to the empowerment of women. This project therefore builds on the work of the United Nations system and aims to complement the efforts of other actors working in this field through partnerships and collaborations.
