Topics such as “Ethics and professional conduct as means of fighting corruption in public administration for development” and “The importance of the judicial system in the consolidation of the fight against corruption in Côte d’Ivoire ”were addressed during this ceremony respectively by Mr. TRAORE Bakari, Chief of Staff of the President of the HABG and Mr. DELBE Z. Constant, Technical Advisor of the Ministry of Justice. This ceremony was under the patronage of Mr. Hamed Bakayoko, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense. For the head of the Ivorian Government, we cannot succeed in effectively combating the scourge of corruption without values. The strength of societies is the values they carry, because a society in which values no longer have their place is exposed to all kinds of behavior likely to endanger it. According to him, a better and united Côte d’Ivoire can only be achieved if the actions initiated for a profound transformation are supported by values of union, discipline, work, solidarity, justice but also and above all good governance. . This is why, in the light of the major challenges for economic and social development which are ours for the coming decades, the Government intends to draw inspiration from best practices throughout the world to strengthen the fight against corruption in our country. . In this regard, he reaffirmed the government’s total availability to firmly support the High Authority for Good Governance in the assessment of the national integrity system with a view to updating other national anti-corruption strategies. This day was the occasion of a call to the collective conscience.

The “ANOUANZE225” program, which in the local AKAN language means “UNDERSTANDING”, is a project that aims to reconcile Ivorians, hence the code 225. It comes in response to the recent Ivorian pre-election, electoral and post-election crisis punctuated by inter-community conflicts. It also invites political leaders to make use of dialogue at all times and in all places in the resolution of conflicts which oppose them or which could oppose them. The Champions for Peace call on all the forces of the nation and international institutions to support the program. DECLARATION OF PLANETE PAIX RELATING TO THE SOCIOPOLITICAL SITUATION IN COTE D’IVOIRE MARKED BY THE DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST THE 3rd MANDATE OF ALASSANE OUATTARA

PLANETE PAIX observes that since the announcement made on August 6, 2020, by President Ouattara to run for a third term, unrest has erupted in the country. These disturbances, unfortunately, resulted in the loss of human life and material goods.
PLANETE PAIX, therefore, invites President Ouattara to reconsider his decision to run for a third term; the supreme interest of the Ivorian Nation, the safeguard of peace and tranquility of the Ivorian people, demand it, no sacrifice being too much to save lives and the nation.
Mr. President, if your umpteenth term should have unfortunate consequences for the country, do not come forward.
PLANETE PAIX calls on the entire political class and encourages them to meditate on and appropriate the words of Emmanuel Kant taken from his book Project of Perpetual Peace, 1795.
“True politics cannot take a step without first paying tribute to morality. […] All politics must bow to the Law, and only so can it hope to arrive, albeit slowly, to a degree where it shines with lasting brilliance. ”
PLANETE PAIX notes with bitterness that for decades the Ivorian politician has only traumatized and mourned the Ivorian people.
PLANETE PAIX protests such selfish, dehumanizing, barbaric and unholy acts of the Ivorian politician which undermine the collective conscience and continuously make the Ivorian people suffer, loved in appearance by all political parties and yet manipulated and infantilized.
PLANETE PAIX puts the Ivorian politician in front of his responsibility before the history and the Ivorian people and invites all the sons and daughters of Cote d’Ivoire to a friendly and fraternal dialogue for genuine reconciliation.
When the interest of the nation is threatened, dialogue remains the only recourse, but it must be frank, sincere and constructive.
PLANETE PAIX considers that dialogue between Ivorians is a categorical and not hypothetical imperative. There must be neither abstraction nor exclusion, and every Ivorian must do it.
Ivorians people, it is high time you came together to build happiness and peace in Cote d’Ivoire.
PLANETE PAIX urges every Ivorian to be the guarantor of peace prior and essential to any harmonious development and to act accordingly to deal with the most urgent.
Ivorians people, PLANETE PAIX, calls on you to be vigilant and asks you to stand up against political manipulation in all its forms, whatever its origin, which does not honor the country.
PLANETE PAIX denounces all the human rights violations which are continually perpetrated in Cote d’Ivoire, in particular those of recent events.
PLANETE PAIX condemns with its last energy the arbitrary detentions of Ivorian citizens and calls on the Ivorian authorities for their immediate and unconditional release.
PLANETE PAIX calls on the forces of order on which weighs the obligation to supervise the demonstrations to do it with a republican spirit and with conventional weapons.
PLANETE PAIX bows to the memory of Ivorian citizens who were soon torn from life by the fault of the Ivorian politician.
PLANETE PAIX calls on the Ivorian authorities to shed light on these unnecessary acts of killings and to punish those responsibly.
PLANETE PAIX appeals to the wisdom of all political actors, in particular the President of the Republic, for a peaceful and fraternal settlement of this umpteenth crisis.
PLANETE PAIX encourages the leaders of civil society organizations to become actively involved in this dialogue and to support this process objectively.
Finally, PLANETE PAIX invites the international community to do everything possible and take all the necessary measures to avoid the worst.
Finally, let everyone ask himself:
“Is my action or decision in favor of or against the peace and tranquility of my nation and my compatriots?”
PLANETE PAIX, therefore, invites Ivorians to go beyond legal and political debates on the number of terms of office to appreciate the ethical and human nature of their actions. In other words, to appreciate the consequences of their actions and decisions in the life of the Ivorian nation and people.
Done in Abidjan on August 18, 2020,
