Joined by Spring24 TV on Thursday August 13, 2020, the Central President of PLANETE PAIX, His Em. Achille COMOE first spoke about the origin of the crisis, and took stock of the socio-political situation while going through the demands of political parties and opposition groups, before calling on the international community to do everything possible and take all the necessary measures to avoid the worst.
On Wednesday 05 August 2020, Civil Society Organizations, opinion leaders and actors promoting human rights, met at the convocation of the Secretary of State for Human Rights to discuss the topic “Human Rights and elections”. The objective is to involve these actors through a platform for peaceful elections. The mission of this platform will be to raise awareness of peace and social cohesion. Incivism was also discussed during this meeting.
After the death of Gon Coulibaly, the RHDP is looking for a candidate for the presidential election.
PLANETE PAIX follows closely and with attention the socio-political situation in Cote d’Ivoire and calls on the President of the Republic His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara to make a wise decision on July 29, 2020 or in the days to come to save the Country (Cote d’Ivoire).
PLANETE PAIX encourages all the political class, opposition as party in power, to privilege the dialogue, the weapon of the strong, for a happy outcome of the situation and for the greater good of the people of Cote d’Ivoire.
PLANETE PAIX encourages the international community to continue supporting this dialogue.
PLANET PAIX Organization for sustainable development, social well-being, promotion of Human Rights, Peacemaking, peacekeeping and peacebuilding worldwide will make without evasion recommendations to political actors, to civil society and to all Ivorians for a lasting solution in the days to come.
To conclude, PLANETE PAIX invites all Ivorians to reflect on the words dear to President Felix Houphouët Boigny, founding father of the modern Cote d’Ivoire: “true happiness, we only appreciate it when we have lost it”.
