MANDELA DAY: VOLUNTEERS OF PLANETE PAIX JUMP FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

More than 700 volunteers, including PLANETE PAIX, stormed Vridi Canal in the commune of Port-BouΓ«t, as part of “My Beach, My Country” organized by the association YALI Alumni Cote d’Ivoire. They cleaned over 2 km of beach and removed from it plastics, glass, and other non-biodegradable waste that has accumulated in this beach for several years. “My Beach, My Country” is an initiative of the US Embassy to educate people about the dangers of litter to the oceans and to marine and human life.
