TELL ME WHAT YOU READ AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE

TELL ME WHAT YOU READ AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE

The third part of the Book Club initiated by the NGO PLANETE PAIX in collaboration with the United States Embassy in CΓ΄te d ‘Ivoire is attracting a lot of interest and enthusiasm for young people. Young people understand through this activity that reading is necessary for their intellectual development. Three (03) books were scrutinized :
1- “La vache pourpre”
2- “L’Art du Pitch”
3- β€œDevenez un grand leader”
The first book allowed participants to understand why and how to be remarkable. The second taught them pitching techniques. Finally, the third gave them the necessary advice to become a great leader for example to develop the art of listening, to value people and results and to embody the values. Youth was invited to adopt the saying: “Tell me what you read, and I will tell who you are”. This saying is indeed, the translation of “Tell me who you frequent, and I will tell you who you are”. But, here, the originality lies in the fact that for Anglophones reading is a powerful factor of transformation and development of people. In conclusion, participants began to internalize the idea that each one of us is but the sum of his readings and would like program to go on.
