Planete Paix has the honor of taking part in the American program “International Visitor Leadership Program” (IVLP). The program started on Monday August 17, 2020 and will end on September 10, 2020.
This is an immersion program in the United States of America focusing on democracy and electoral processes. To do this, virtual immersions in the cities of Washington, Detroit, and Michigan, will allow to acquire the principles and practices of the American democratic system.
Ten Ivorian civil society organisations are invited to this program, including the International Non Gouvernmental Organization Planète Paix , represented by Miss IBO M’pigué Annick Mireille, Head of Communication. This prestigious program of the State Department, recorded this Tuesday, August 18, 2020 the presence of Mrs. Marie Royce, Secretary of the said program and of His Excellency Mr. Richard Bell, US Ambassador in Cote d’Ivoire. They both underlined the importance of this program and encouraged the participants to invest in it for a true democracy, for the advent of the rule of law and for peaceful elections in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Secretariat of State for Civic Service invited Ivorians to appropriate the values contained in their national anthem on the occasion of the commemorative ceremony of the national anthem ‘l’Abidjanaise’ on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at the auditorium of the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale (CNPS) located in Plateau (Abidjan). The ceremony was organized around the theme: ” The « Abidjanaise », a factor of peace and social cohesion”. The delegation of PLANETE PAIX was led for the occasion by the Country Champion-Cote d’Ivoire, His Excellency Dr. Erick Amani.
The Central President of the Internnational NGO Planete Paix Achille COMOE Speaking on the question of Peace during the panel on peace to which he was invited as a panelist invited young people to more responsible and citizen commitments. For him, politics cannot depart from morale and values. In the same sense, he quoted Jean Jacque Rousseau who already warned in Emile IV: “Those who want to treat morality and politics separately will never hear anything from either of them”. Were also present as panellists, Mr. Jule Than representing the coordinator of UNDESA platform, Mr. Théodore Golli Program Officer Political Dialogue in West Africa at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
